Her music was a reflection of raw emotion, resilience, and unapologetic truth, resonating deeply with anyone who ever listened. Angie Stone was a pioneer, a true icon who broke barriers and paved the way for future generations of artists. She began her journey in the late 1970s as a member of The Sequence, the first all-female rap group signed to Sugar Hill Records.
