Welp, there’s that…
Today, it became official: Wall Street is in a bear market, with the Nasdaq tumbling more than 20% from its previous highs. And the cause? Donald Trump’s reckless tariff war.
Just one day after Trump announced sweeping tariffs—a flat 10% on all imports, with even steeper penalties for countries like China, the EU, and Japan—China hit back, slapping a brutal 34% tariff on all U.S. goods. The global economy is now teetering, and American consumers, workers, and small businesses are already feeling the aftershocks.
The numbers don’t lie:
• S&P 500: Down 4.9% yesterday.
• Nasdaq: Down 5.9%, and now in bear market territory.
• Dow Jones: Dropped 4%.
• $2.5 trillion in wealth evaporated in 24 hours.
Trump shrugged it off, saying, “The stock is going to boom.” But that’s not what’s happening. What’s happening is a gut punch to retirement savings, 401(k)s, IRAs, and pensions. What’s happening is a rise in prices—on everything from groceries to electronics to car parts—because tariffs are taxes. And like always, the working and middle class foot the bill.
Meanwhile, Wall Street billionaires will wait it out in their bunkers, buying the dip. But the rest of us? We’ll pay more at the pump. We’ll pay more at the store. We’ll watch our savings shrink while MAGA spins this as “tough on trade.”
Let’s be clear: This isn’t a strategic move. It’s a desperate power flex that tanks the economy and plays roulette with global stability. All middle class and poor Americans will be hurt by what Trump has done. And once again, Black and brown communities will bear the brunt, just as we did in 2008 and during COVID. Every recession, every financial collapse, we’re the last ones helped and the first ones to hurt.
And now? The markets are screaming. The economy is trembling. And Donald Trump is tweeting from a golf cart.
He didn’t just screw up—he screwed us.

🔊 FAFO Newscast: Because the nonsense never stop
And, let's face it, when people talk about "their stocks" losing, "their savings" shrinking, "their home-buying power" disappearing...they are NOT talking about me and my people who live on Social Security, low-paying jobs, Medicaid, Medicare: no stocks, no savings, no owned homes. We have lived day-to-day for decades. Now we live minute-to -minute with every bad act that PINO engages in.
