FAFO Newscast Update: Day 41 – The Search for Jordan “Manny” Collins Jr.
A Missing Boy, A Frustrated Family, and a Silent Father: Where is Jordan Sr?
Date: June 26, 2025
It’s now been over 40 days since 15-year-old Jordan “Manny” Collins Jr. was reported missing in Columbia Heights, Minnesota. As the search continues, tensions are mounting—not just among the public, but within Manny’s own family.
Official Statement from Law Enforcement
On June 24, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Department and Columbia Heights Police issued a joint update, confirming that the landfill search at Elk River is still active and ongoing. They reiterated that:
“Numerous local, state, and federal agencies remain strongly invested in this investigation and are combing through evidence.” — Sheriff Brad Wise
“We are committed to finding Manny and bringing answers for his mother Ashley, his family, and our community.” — Chief Matt Markham
While law enforcement maintains that premature disclosure could compromise the investigation, the carefully worded statement offered no new details about suspects, charges, or whether anyone is being detained or actively questioned.
Manny’s Uncle Speaks Out
Shortly after that public statement, Michael Wilson Jr., Manny’s uncle, issued his own urgent message, calling on authorities to arrest Jordan Collins Sr., the missing boy’s father.
Wilson’s statement includes disturbing allegations:
That Jordan Sr. has abandoned his home and family,
Is allegedly using meth and fentanyl,
Hiding in tent encampments, potentially disguising his identity,
And has completely cut off communication with both law enforcement and relatives.
“He needs to be arrested,” Wilson said. “We are doing our best to remain patient and put our faith in the system, but this continued inaction is deeply frustrating and feels like a sign of disregard—not only to our family, but to the entire community.”
He also warned that the community is feeling “backed into a corner” and called for legal action—not vigilante justice—but immediate arrest or detainment.
What’s Missing: Transparency, Urgency, and Answers
While it’s understandable that investigators may be holding certain evidence close to protect the case, the lack of movement—especially regarding Jordan Sr.—is now being questioned publicly.
Why hasn’t Jordan Sr. been detained or at least questioned under oath?
If he’s in hiding, why isn’t there an active warrant for obstruction or child endangerment?
What evidence, if any, was recovered from the landfill?
The Bigger Picture
FAFO Newscast will continue to follow this heartbreaking story as it develops. For now, what remains is a worried mother, a grieving family, and a growing sense that justice is lagging.
Manny is still missing.
And his father is still in the wind.
